A Layover Guide to Visiting Narita and Naritasan Temple: Japan

When it comes to airport names they can often be a little misleading…take London for example, there are 6 airports with ‘London’ in the name and yet only one is actually in the city!  Tokyo has 2 airports, Narita and Haneda.  Haneda Airport is the closest to the city, however unless you’re driving, it’s still an hour away using public transport.  Narita is even further away and I’m guilty of searching for ‘how to get to Tokyo from Narita Airport’ when deciding how to spend a spare 7 hours between flights.  I honestly think the town of Narita is hideously overlooked, it’s just 10 minutes away from the airport!  Here are a few ideas for things to do in Narita, especially during an airport layover!

Adaaran Club Rannalhi Resort Review: Maldives Overwater Bungalow On A Budget!

Recently I’ve been seeing lots of guides on how to visit the Maldives on a budget.  I wish I had been able to see some of the local islands, but ultimately my ‘Maldives Dream’ was to stay in a water villa…not just for a night, but for the whole trip.  The majority of ‘budget guides’ seem to be local local local…and then shows what it looked like in their all expenses paid night in a 5* hotel that will be well out of a reasonable budget.  I set a budget for my honeymoon that I didn’t want to go over and now I’ll be sharing simple tips that can lower the price, no sponsorship, no airline/hotel points, these can be done by anyone.  Believe me, there ARE options for cheap overwater bungalows!!

10 Reasons To Stay In A Maldives Water Bungalow!

Staying in a Water Bungalow is a once in a life time room upgrade that you can only really warrant spending the money on for a special occasion like a Honeymoon. (I’m talking $300 extra PER NIGHT and that’s for a cheap one).  For our Honeymoon we went to a 3 star resort in the Maldives, I’m used to motels, hostels and camping and I didn’t want to feel uncomfortable and out of place in a 5 star resort…plus our budget wouldn’t stretch quite THAT far!  Our water bungalow was slightly outdated and basic but it’s ruined my future travels forever…I’ll never be satisfied with a normal hotel room again!  Here’s why.
