4 Unusual & Adventurous Things To Do In Prague, Czech Republic

I don’t know about everyone else, but I get a little bit bored reading the same ‘must do’ posts over and over, there are only so many museums/churches/galleries you can visit. So for my 48 hour trip to Prague, Czech Republic, I decided to plan the whole trip using a Kids in Prague guide!  

I visited with my Sister, we are both mid to late 20’s, obviously we didn’t visit playgrounds, we just wanted different inspiration, a list of unique things to do in Prague! Here’s what we found!

Adventurous Things To Do In Prague

Prague Golf and Games

The name doesn’t quite do it justice…it’s crazy golf IN THE DARK! There are 18 holes that are painted with glow in the dark paint, the balls glow and the clubs glow. There are various table top games that are free to play.

We arrived not long after opening time and had the place to ourselves for a bit but it soon got busier with groups of adults and a couple of families with children.  

Adults have the option to buy a ticket that includes 2 bottles of beer (works out that you get 1 bottle free).

The holes at Prague Golf and Games have a Prague theme, such as the one below which looks like the Astronomical Clock! It shuts at 11pm (12pm on Fridays and Saturday) so it’s a great option if you are looking for things to do in Prague at night.

There is also an escape room too, where you have 1 hour to solve clues to escape a room, but we didn’t do this.

2hr Segway Tour with Segway Rent Prague

I love Segways, they are my favourite way to see a city when you are pushed for time. There are so many companies operating in Prague. We chose Segway Rent Prague because we wanted a 2 hour tour rather than a 3 hour tour which the majority of companies offered.  

They were also x2 Segways rather than standard ones, meaning they have giant off roading tyres which I think are a must for the cobbled streets.

As we were the only booking we could tailor make our tour, we visited up around the castle, the Segways definitely saved walking uphill! We also stopped for a beer half way round at the Monastery brewery! Other stops included: the John Lennon Wall, Vojan Gardens, Prague Castle and Petrin Park.

Bobová Dráha Prosek

I’m a bobsleigh nerd, I never even knew about the Prague bobsleigh track until I read the kids guide! I would have missed out!  Bobova Draha Praha is slightly out of the main city centre in Praha 9, but it can be reached by Metro (Prosek station) and then a 15 minute walk.  

It was well worth it in my opinion. We were the only people there (on a Monday in April), we bought 2 ride tickets each for the 800m downhill track. There’s a speed trap at the bottom so that set a challenge to beat it on my 2nd run! Once at the bottom, there’s a giant lift hill to get back to the top. There’s also a high ropes course at the Prague bobsleigh track!

Vytopna – Railway Restaurant

Vytopna restaurant was brilliant. There are always things on the internet about the ‘excitement when you see your food coming in a restaurant’, well imagine how exciting it is when a model railway delivers your beers right to the table!  

EVERY booth is connected to the railway so there’s no chance of missing out. The food is good too and service was VERY quick!

Most items on the menu are variations of burgers or steak. You can order individual courses, or they do have a 3 course meal combo option too.

Final Thoughts

Although all of these can be found in the kids guide, hopefully I’ve been able to show you a few options for unusual things to do in Prague. Using a kids guide is definitely something I’ll utilise when planning future trips, it opens up a whole other world of inspiration!  

We actually managed to see even more than just these within the 48 hours we were in Prague, just by walking between the different attractions we saw: The Dancing House, The Charles Bridge, John Lennon Wall, Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock and a couple of gardens that had peacocks!
