If you’re looking for a unique and authentic Midwestern experience, you should check out the New Day Dairy in Clarksville Iowa. Dan and Lynn offer B&B accommodation on a working Iowa dairy farm! Not only does the guesthouse have an observation deck (so you can watch the cows in the barn to your hearts content), but included in the price of the stay is a welcome tour and farewell tour that lets you get up close with the cows and the calves!
For the past 12 years, I have worn a watch every. single. day. This goes back to when I signed up to work on a summer camp and a watch was one of the requirements. I honestly think my arm would feel naked if I didn’t wear one now and I couldn’t imagine not having the time right there on my wrist! My latest watch is a Walnut and Midnight Blue ‘Cora Polaris’ wood watch by JORD. This unique timepiece has some really cool features, I share 6 things that I love about my JORD wooden watch below!
Every expat’s dream right, when a low cost airline introduces a cheap route home!? At the end of March, Norwegian Airlines started flying between Chicago O’Hare and London Gatwick. I flew over Easter weekend for $500/£350 RETURN, if I wasn’t flying over a peak weekend, it could have potentially been even cheaper. I had booked the Norwegian LowFare, my first time flying long haul with a budget airline and believe it or not, it wasn’t horrendous!
For my job, I was sent on a course about how to have a happy, positive way of thinking in life. No, it wasn’t an anger management course and no I was not sent on it because I’m a grump bag! It started by reading a parable called The Orange Frog. All the frogs in the pond were green, when one of them started to think positive, he became more orange. At first, the other frogs thought being orange and different was a bad thing. But the positivity started to rub off on all the frogs around him and soon they all became orange. They realised that although bad things may happen in their life, their outlook could change the way they were affected by it.
