Norwegian Airlines Review: Flying Long Haul on LowFare

Every expat’s dream right, when a low cost airline introduces a cheap route home!? At the end of March, Norwegian Airlines started flying between Chicago O’Hare and London Gatwick.  I flew over Easter weekend for $500/£350 RETURN, if I wasn’t flying over a peak weekend, it could have potentially been even cheaper.  I had booked the Norwegian LowFare, my first time flying long haul with a budget airline and believe it or not, it wasn’t horrendous!

Review: The Happiness Advantage. Are You An Orange Frog?

Recently for my job, I was sent on a course about how to have a happy, positive way of thinking in life.  No, it wasn’t an anger management course and no I was not sent on it because I’m a grump bag!  It started by reading a parable called The Orange Frog.  All the frogs in the pond were green, when one of them started to think positive, he became more orange.  At first, the other frogs thought being orange and different was a bad thing.  But the positivity started to rub off on all the frogs around him and soon they all became orange.  They realised that although bad things may happen in their life, their outlook could change the way they were affected by it.

Timmerman’s: Sunday Brunch on top of the Bluff

So there’s this Supper Club in East Dubuque, Illinois by the name of Timmerman’s.  It sits high up on top of a bluff that partly overlooks the Mississippi River.  From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but once inside, the restaurant is surrounded with windows and you’re greeted with a pretty awesome view!
