I’ve now moved abroad twice. Once when I moved to the USA and then when I repatriated back to the UK. Both times I considered them permanent moves. Looking back, if I had know that I’d only stick living in the US for 4 years, I would have packed a little different. However at the time I thought I’d be gone for the long haul so packed accordingly. When I originally left, I had the option of potentially leaving stuff in storage, but coming back to the UK, I then had to pack up EVERYTHING as I knew I wouldn’t be returning. 15 Essentials To Add To Your Glamping Packing List! (Downloadable Glamping Checklist)

Glamping is becoming more and more popular and I think it’s brilliant.  It’s a way of being able to give people the camping experience without the need of providing their own accommodation (RV, caravan, tent etc).  First things first, there are several different levels of what I’d consider ‘glamping’, and even then other people’s opinions could be different!  I grew up going on caravan holidays, now our UK caravans are very different from the US ‘campers’.  Our caravans are tiny, where the only beds are converted forms of the tables and chairs.  USA caravans are like huge mansions with full sized kitchens and bedrooms with extendable sides and air conditioning.  That alone I’d almost consider quite a ‘high up’ version of glamping! Camp Counselor Packing List: Things EVERY Camp Counselor Should Take To Summer Camp!

One of my first adventures overseas was when I worked on a summer camp back in 2008.  I was a camp counselor in up-state New York!  Looking back at the amount of luggage I took for the 3 month trip is embarrassing, I didn’t really have a clue what to take and I’m proud to say my packing has definitely improved!  There are some things that I’m glad I took so hopefully my camp counselor packing list will give you an idea on where to start when preparing for summer camp!
