April equals the end of the tax year in the UK. The 2021 to 2022 tax year was my first full year self employed and working online from home. I keep track of my monthly income and I have a business account that everything gets paid in to. I know I am reaching my targets but I was interested to see a full breakdown of exactly how much money is coming from what income stream.

You could probably talk to thousands of different online teachers, and everyone will have their ways of what works for them and what doesn’t. This is my current setup for working on Cambly Kids and so far I’m happy with how I have everything! Companies may have slightly different requirements too, such as wearing a certain colour t-shirt, display the company logo in the background or have an endless supply of props. For the most part, Cambly Kids is quite relaxed.

As a tutor on Cambly Kids, we have the flexibility to teach how we feel best. There’s no requirement to have certain props but I do feel that having flashcards helps me with my lessons. I use Canva.com to create digital flashcards that I then AirDrop them to my iPad. It’s great having all the images in one place and then I simply show my iPad to the camera.
