There’s no denying that everyone loves a good nose at what people pack in their suitcases and now I’m going to give you a look into mine. This is a look at what was on… More
It’s hard to find the words to describe just how crazy the City Museum in St Louis is. The best I can come up with is a ‘giant creative steam punk playground’! It’s definitely not your typical museum! It’s literally a giant mash of sculptures, where everything can be climbed on/up/through or slid down! This is the work of Bob Cassilly and his team of 20 other artists and sculptors! The City Museum opened in 1997 and is built in a disused building that was part of the International Shoe Company Factory.
Goga. Yep, goat yoga is very much a thing and it’s absolutely BRILLIANT. I first discovered it watching the local Iowa news and within an hour or so I had booked myself onto a session. I’ve become obsessed with yoga since moving to the States and you can’t deny that baby goats are ridiculously cute, so it seemed like the perfect combination!
Out of all the places in the world, Devon is the place I’ve been back to the most. I grew up taking caravan holidays to this area of the UK and it holds a special little place in my heart. I’m going to share with you some of my favourite North Devon Beaches and coastal towns, including how to find the ‘secret’ Broadsands Beach and the amazing caves located at Watermouth Cove! Something to note is that the North Devon coastline isn’t really sandy, it’s very rocky and rugged!
Mason City is a ridiculously creative town in Iowa. From music, to architecture, to puppetry to ‘street’ art, it has it all! It has some pretty big famous connections too! In this guide I share some of the cool things to do in Mason City!
Braintree Essex, a place that has a special place in my heart. I was born in Braintree…although the hospital has since been flattened and replaced by houses…and lived there for over 26 years. I’ve seen it change over the years, I watched Braintree Freeport being built from the window of my maths lessons. It took me moving away to realise what I had under my nose all along, I appreciate it and see it in a totally different light now. I’m going to share with you some of my favourite places in town, a little about the history of Braintree and some hidden surprises!
The city of Janesville is located in the south of Wisconsin, just 25 minutes away from the Illinois border. It lays along the Rock River and offers a range of ways to get out and enjoy the outdoors, after all, it is known for the amount of parks and green spaces! Here are a few ideas of ways to enjoy your summer days!
My childhood was spent going on holidays in a caravan. I’m used to ‘roughing it’ in the great outdoors so to speak and making trips to the nearest toilet block! When I discovered you could go glamping in Iowa AND it was in a town I was planning on visiting, I knew there was no other choice! Yes, I stayed in a yurt while attending a travel blogging conference! Here’s what you should know about staying in a yurt at McIntosh Woods State Park in Clear Lake, Iowa!
I’ve become obsessed with sand dunes. They are one of my favourite types of landscape and I find it hard to put into words why. Sand dunes are often in quite hostile environments, being in places that are very hot and offer little or no shade. They are exhausting if you try and climb them and have the power to make you feel so tiny. They create huge ‘mountains’ which is crazy when you think that they are literally just piles and piles of loose sand with no solid centres. Yet they are beautiful and FUN. I collaborated with some other travel bloggers and compiled a collection of different sand dunes around the world!
