The colourful village of Portmeirion in Wales, UK was a project that started back in 1925 by the architect Clough Williams-Ellis. It looks like it’s been pulled right out of Italy and dumped on the… More
Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, with a summit of 3559ft/1085m. It is the 2nd highest mountain in the ‘Three Peaks Challenge‘, a popular hiking challenge where participants have to climb the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), Wales (Snowdon) and England (Scafell Pike). Usually the aim of the challenge is to climb all 3 in 24 hours but some people choose to stretch it out to 3 days, climbing one a day. Now I’m no mountain climber, I didn’t even walk UP Snowdon, only down, and it took me a couple of days to recover, so kudos to the hikers that do all 3 in a short amount of time!
A great way to see the Greek island of Santorini is to rent a quad bike! There are several things to keep in mind though and in this post I share my observations from my ATV rental experience!
Chicago is the start point of the 2446 mile road trip to Los Angeles that is otherwise known as Route 66! I often see a lot of questions from people wondering the best places to stay, how to go about renting a car, where is the Route 66 start sign located, what to see in Chicago in a day? Hopefully I can answer some of those questions in this Route 66 Chicago guide!
Woah, long time no see expat update! I can’t believe we’re already half way through 2019 and to be honest, I spent most of time ‘wishing this year away’. I know it’s bad to do that, but it’s been rough. I’m in a slightly better place now, mainly thanks to the distraction that travel brings! So lets try and summarise the first 6 months of this year!
Adrenaline junkies are well and truly spoilt when it comes to finding adventure in the UK. Zip World North Wales has everything you could want and more. Search for whatever you want; longest zip wire in Wales, longest zip wire in the UK, fastest zip wire in the WORLD and you’re going to get the same answer. Zip World! The zip line makes up just one part of zip world and I’m going to share with you everything you need to know about visiting!
I have a bit of a love hate relationship when it comes to seagulls. I always go on and on about how I love the Great British seaside and going to the beach just isn’t the same without their constant squawking noise. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But I find that I’m starting to hate them because they poop on you, they are big and scary and they are turning into menaces and it’s the fault of the human population. Why? Because people keep feeding seagulls!!!
I always tend to read more in the summer, I have more spare time (what with working in a school) and with summer travels I tend to read a lot at airports and during flights. SO I thought I would share with you some of the books that I plan on reading over the next few months!
It’s no secret that I love my DJI Spark drone! It gives you a whole different perspective of your surroundings. As a camera, I find that the pictures come out so well that they require minimal editing…most of these photos have had no editing at all! It’s small enough that I’ve still been able to carry on travelling with just cabin baggage, despite having all the extra gear.
