Almost 1 year ago to the day, my hair started falling out. Now some of you that have been around for a while, will know that I’ve not coped well with being an expat and then my body decided it wanted to make sure that I knew that too. In this post I’ll be talking about why my hair fell out, how it affected me mentally, the ways I tried to cope with my hair loss, how long my hair was falling out for and how I tried to help assist with its regrowth.
OK so this post isn’t exactly my regular style of travel content, but for me it’s a big focus of 2019. I need to find ways to deal with my stress and anxiety because it’s started to affect me in more ways than one, and as you can imagine, I’m NOT OK with that. So I decided to share some of my favourite free yoga and meditation resources for stress and anxiety, that I use and someone else may find beneficial!
I’m all for trying unique experiences and when I first heard about floatation therapy and float tanks, I had to try it out! I had seen something similar in a hotel lobby in Las Vegas a while back, it was a kind of water bed in a pod which moved in a way that massaged you. This is a little different though, a float tank is like a giant bath filled with a saline/epsom salt salution which allows you to float in just a few inches of water, similar to the dead sea!
Goga. Yep, goat yoga is very much a thing and it’s absolutely BRILLIANT. I first discovered it watching the local Iowa news and within an hour or so I had booked myself onto a session. I’ve become obsessed with yoga since moving to the States and you can’t deny that baby goats are ridiculously cute, so it seemed like the perfect combination!
