The British Overseas Territory of Turks and Caicos is made up of hundreds of islands and cays. The most inhabited and touristy island is Providenciales! Providenciales international airport has direct flights to several US cities, making it an easy to reach Caribbean destination.
On the outside Turks and Caicos looks like a highly expensive place to visit, it’s full of big all inclusive resorts. I don’t know if it’ll ever be backpacker friendly but it is possible to do Turks and Caicos on a budget. I share my complete budget breakdown.
