As a British expat living in the USA, one of the biggest questions amongst expat groups is how to find the cheapest flight to the UK. So in this post I’m going to share with you my tips and advice on how I find the best flights. These tips aren’t just applicable for USA to UK flights, I use these techniques for ALL of my travels. I am a huge fan of packing light. If I can travel with only a backpack, I will. If I have to check a bag or am going on a longer trip, I’ll take the smallest suitcase/roller holdall I can find. I couldn’t imagine anything worse than having luggage the same size as me and having to haul it in and out of cars, off and on public transport, up and down stairs when the accommodation has no lift/elevator. The following items I travel with every time I go away, whether it’s for a weekend ‘staycation’ or 2 weeks overseas! Hopefully I can help you to pack a little lighter!
Ok, so it’s pretty minor in reality, but it happens, and this particular Budapest scam probably happens in a lot more places, I’ve just been lucky to have not come across it before!
