When it comes to travel packing lists and ‘must have travel gadgets’, I can’t believe I’ve always overlooked the item I’d feel most naked without and there’s a good reason for it…literally because I NEVER take it off. Ever. It’s like a permanent part of me! I am a huge fan of Baby G (G Shock) watches by Casio. In my opinion they are the best waterproof dual timezone watch out there and an important part of my travel routines!
As an expat living overseas, sometimes all I want more than anything is British comfort food, the food from home that I love and miss! One thing I used to have regularly for dinner was ‘Pukka Pies’ (you can buy them in some Fish and Chip shops too!). Yes America have ‘pot pies’, maybe I’m buying the wrong ones because they are just nasty! Recently, Pouch Pies reached out to me about their meat pie online delivery service! They have flavours of pies inspired from all around the world, BUT most importantly they sell traditional British pies! I love discovering places to get British food in America!
I don’t remember the last time I was so excited about buying something that wasn’t a plane ticket! I’ve wanted a drone for a while and after deciding against buying one of the cheap pocket drones, I opted for the DJI Spark…which is still tiny…but amazing. I was worried that as a newbie pilot I would be awful at flying it but it was fairly easy to pick up!
I can’t believe it’s the end of May already! Here I’ll be looking back on what I’ve been up to this month, the places I’ve been, the highs and lows, life as a Brit in the States and other random things I’m finding interesting this month!
As a part time traveller, I’m always on the look out for a way to satisfy my love of travel without actually being on the road. ‘Route 66 Splendor’ is an adult colouring book created by Jo Ann Kargus, an illustrator from St Louis, Missouri (yay Midwest!) and I can tell you now, it’ll provide hours of entertainment!
Being a Brit in the USA, there’s nothing I enjoy more than receiving a little box of English treats from home! The Little Care Package is a brand new subscription box company aimed at British expats living in America and Canada. It was created by a Brit living in Canada that was, to be honest, disgusted at the price of buying British items overseas…$8 for an English magazine?! She wanted to be able to give us a little slice of home for a more affordable price! Continue reading “Review: The Little Care Package British Subscription Box”
Hope everyone’s New Year has started off well! I can’t believe it’s the end of January already! Here I’ll be looking back on what I’ve been up to this month, the places I’ve been, the highs and lows, life as a Brit in the States and other random things I’m finding interesting this month!
In all honesty, I don’t think I could have done Route 66 without this guide book. It’s AMAZING. Seriously. Everyone should go out and buy it if you’re planning on taking the trip. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you…
