There are several different things I take into consideration when planning my travels. A big one is the attractions that are available in the area, I’ll often base myself close to the places I want to visit! One of these 3 Ocho Rios excursions was the whole reason Jamaica made it on to my bucket list! These excursions are perfect for those that love a bit of adventure when they travel!
Chestnut Mountain in Galena Illinois has you covered for year round fun! In the winter months it is a ski resort with 19 runs of different difficulties. But the Chestnut Mountain adrenaline rush isn’t just confined to winter, nope, during the summer there are a whole range of other activities to keep you entertained while enjoying views of the Mississippi River!
I don’t know about everyone else, but I get a little bit bored reading the same ‘must do’ posts over and over, there are only so many museums/churches/galleries you can visit. So for my 48 hour trip to Prague, Czech Republic, I decided to plan the whole trip using a Kids in Prague guide (which I picked up by chance at the Destinations Show in London!). I visited with my Sister, we are both mid to late 20’s, obviously we didn’t visit playgrounds, we just wanted different inspiration, a list of unique things to do in Prague! Here’s what we found!
I hadn’t heard of Icelandic Hill Climbing (also known as Formula Offroad) until my Dad told me that he wanted to go to Iceland. He’d found an experience to be a passenger in a crazy 820bph nitrous powered off road buggy that is capable of going up near vertical hills and can even aquaplane across water. He needed a ‘buddy’ to lower the cost of the trip and I was the only one that could help him tick this mission off his bucket list! Formula offroad is a popular motor sport in Iceland, they hold competitions that include: hill climbing, offroad tracks and freestyle. Check out my view from inside the cab below!
I’m always under the impression that if I lived in a place that had a nice beach/waterfront boardwalk, I’d be the type of person that’d go running in the morning or evening, it always looks so relaxing. Currently I live on the edge of town, with fields, a river and a lovely new cycle path, but do I run along it? No, not anymore, because you just used to end up being chased by dogs. So it seems that when I travel, I actually exercise more than what I do when I’m at home. Here are 5 fun ways to stay active while on the road!
