Latvia In Winter | A Guide To Riga Christmas Markets 2022!

Latvia is a country that surprised me and I quickly fell in love with it. Originally I landed at Riga airport, jumped straight on a train and headed for Sigulda and the bobsled track. On the way home, I had some spare time to kill before my flight home. So used it to check out the Riga Christmas Market.  Turns out there are a couple different markets around the city!  They aren’t huge but they definitely make up for it in personality and setting!

Bobsleigh Experience at the Sigulda Bobsleigh Track in Latvia!

For AGES, the adrenaline activity that was right at the top of my bucket list was to be a passenger in a bobsleigh.  I love the Cool Runnings Disney film, I visited the Whistler (Canada) track in the summer, and I watch the Bobsleigh World Cup every winter.  In 2013 I finally ticked it off the bucket list and it didn’t disappoint, I was like a kid at Christmas!  I even kissed my hard boiled egg at breakfast, just like Sanka in Cool Runnings!  Here’s a look at my Latvia bobsleigh experience!
