I love dessert. So it’s no surprise that I’ve been hunting down Dubuque’s best dessert spot! Being a fairly big town, of course Dubuque is full of all the national chain restaurants. There’s Cold Stone Creamery, Culvers Frozen Custard, Red Robin and Buffalo Wild Wings that all serve dessert, but this list will highlight the small businesses that deserve some recognition! Did you know that for every $100 spent at a small business, $68 will stay in the community, whereas $100 spent in a chain restaurant only $43 will go back to the community?! 10 Reasons to Love the Great (but tacky) British Seaside

“Oh I do love to be beside the seaside, oh I do love to be beside the seaaaaaa!”.  I find it amazing that no matter where you are within the UK, you are never more than 70 miles away from the sea.  Growing up in Essex it was always such a treat to spend a Saturday afternoon either in Clacton or Southend, me and my Sister used to beg to go!  Granted, they aren’t the nicest seaside towns in Britain, there are some really lovely ones around the country, but they still had all the things that make British seaside towns great, even though they may be a little tacky and outdated, I love them.

Unique Ice Cream Shops Around The World

My guilty pleasure when travelling, is ICE CREAM!  I have no shame in admitting that I’m the pig that’ll go for the 3+ scoops every time and often have more than one a day just because I can!  Gelato is amazing, whippy ice cream is yum, cone, tub, I’m not fussed!  I’m always on the hunt for cool ice cream shops, here’s a couple of the more unique ones I’ve found!
