Repatriating Back To The UK: 1 Month Update!

It’s been just over a month since I returned to the UK! So I thought I’d give a bit of an update as to what has been going on and what it’s like to be back. Spoiler alert, I think I made the right decision and I’m sleeping at night again! Yay! I booked my flight before everything that’s been happening this year kicked off. I spent nearly 3 months worrying if the flight would even depart. What a time to choose to repatriate! In all honesty, if it wasn’t already booked before everything kicked off, this year would have been the final straw anyway.

Expat Life: Why I’m Moving Back To The UK From USA

Yep, I’ve decided that after almost 4 years in America I’m going to return/repatriate back to the UK.  It’s not a decision I’ve made lightly, in fact it was a harder decision than the one I first made when I decided to start the US visa process and I’ve agonised over it for a long time.  But I need to put my happiness and mental health first and I believe going home will increase those massively.

Living Overseas: Yep I Had An Emotional Breakdown

Now before you continue to read this post, I want to put it out there and say that it’s not another one that goes on about how to deal with the C-word, if we should still be travelling while it’s going on, offering advice or any of that.  It’s purely to share my experience of being an expat living overseas while the C-word temporarily takes over the world.  More so the mental health aspect of things and yes, how I did end up having an emotional breakdown over it.
