Route 66: 8 States, 8 Roadside Attraction

Route 66.  Dating back to 1926.  The classic American road trip, spanning 2448miles across 8 States from Illinois, all the way to California on the West Coast.  There is SO much to see and do.  I spent just under 3 weeks (with a side trip to Vegas) on the road, averaging roughly around 300 miles day, but we did have to by pass some attractions.  It’s impossible to stop at every museum and gift shop after all!  Most of the Route passes through little forgotten towns, these are often where you’ll find the friendliest of people that are so happy to talk about their life on Route 66.  Here’s a list of some of my must see roadside attractions on Route 66, that I believe are well worth a stop.
