When you don’t get a lot of days off to travel you have to learn to maximise the little amount of time you have! In today’s Mini Travel Guide I share my tried and tested itinerary on how to spend 4 Days in San Francisco, California. Including cool things to see and do, where to eat and where I stayed!
Route 66. Dating back to 1926. The classic American road trip, spanning 2448miles across 8 States from Illinois, all the way to California on the West Coast. There is SO much to see and do. I spent just under 3 weeks (with a side trip to Vegas) on the road, averaging roughly around 300 miles day, but we did have to by pass some attractions. It’s impossible to stop at every museum and gift shop after all! Most of the Route passes through little forgotten towns, these are often where you’ll find the friendliest of people that are so happy to talk about their life on Route 66. Here’s a list of some of my must see roadside attractions on Route 66, that I believe are well worth a stop.
The Hollywood Sign, located in the Hollywood Hills of LA, USA…you see it in so many films and TV shows yet it’s always so far away. My goal – to touch it…to see how big it really is close-up. After lots of Google researching, you discover it’s totally off limits and you’re only ever going to be able to touch it, if you dress up as a shrub and SAS crawl on your belly under the fence that guards it. However, there are a couple of trails that you can hike that get you behind the sign.
