This is the first post in a series all about the British recipes I will be taking with me when I emigrate to America! I can hardly take a whole fish and chip shop with me, and lets face it, it just wouldn’t be the same unless it’s wrapped in paper and you’re sitting on a sea wall! But there are some English dishes I can replicate once I’m there! It’s going to be a learning curve for me, I like to think I’m pretty good at making cakes, but I’m going to learn how to cook English meals from scratch too! But first up, I’ll stick to what I know – Chocolate Guinness Cake! (Yes I’m aware Guinness isn’t technically British!!!) Originally a Nigella Lawson recipe which I’ve tweaked slightly to suit my tastes. Mainly more beer and a little less sugar!
