Chicago is the start point of the 2446 mile road trip to Los Angeles that is otherwise known as Route 66! I often see a lot of questions from people wondering the best places to stay, how to go about renting a car, where is the Route 66 start sign located, what to see in Chicago in a day? Hopefully I can answer some of those questions in this Route 66 Chicago guide!
I’m not going to lie, London itineraries have been done to the death. Big Ben and Buckingham Palace will always appear on them and don’t get me wrong, for good reason. But I’ve come up with an alternative itinerary for 4 days in London, aimed at people that may have already seen all the icons. My itinerary has been INSPIRED by Harry Potter but with a difference, it’s not necessarily a guide to all the Harry Potter movie locations, it’s more a mash up between a classic sightseeing itinerary and a Harry Potter guide…using some of the Harry Potter locations to showcase some of the different AREAS of London that I believe are worth visiting!
I could have spent an awful lot longer in Western Australia. But as a part time traveller who just wants to see as much as possible, I crammed a 3000km road trip into just 7 days and I loved every single second. This is my 1 week Western Australia itinerary, including where I stopped each night, what there is to see on the route and how we spent our time in our overnight town stops! I designed my trip so I either had a full afternoon or morning in the towns that we stopped at. If you don’t have the time to go from Perth to Exmouth, Perth to Coral Bay is well worth the trip!
So you want to visit Dubrovnik Croatia, of course being in a tourist area the accommodation options are expensive and even in shoulder season the area around the Old Town is PACKED with people, so why not consider staying in Lapad? It’s just 4km away from Dubrovnik’s Old Town, which is around a 45 minute walk or a 15 minute bus ride! Lapad definitely makes for a more peaceful stay in the Dubrovnik area!
For me, sometimes it’s the silliest of things that attract me to a destination. For example, I went to Jamaica to go on a bobsleigh track in a rainforest. I signed up for the Kenosha pre conference trip at the Women in Travel Summit, purely because I wanted to go on a tour of the Jelly Belly Warehouse. Little did I realise, that Kenosha would steal my heart, I was just about ready to pack up and move into one of the houses along 1st Avenue, that overlook the waters of Lake Michigan.
When it comes to travel, I think nothing of jumping on the first flight of the day, visiting a country, seeing some of the sights, have dinner somewhere, stay the night and then take the last flight back home on the following day. Sometimes when you don’t get a lot of days off to travel you have to learn to maximise the little amount of time you have! In today’s ‘how to’ guide I share my tried and tested itinerary on how to spend 24 hours in Lisbon, Portugal. Including cool things to see and do, where to eat and where I stayed! You can fit so much into just one day in Lisbon!
Ever dreamed of hitting the open road and doing an all American road trip? How about a trip down historic Route 66?! Stretching 2448 miles across America, starting in Chicago, Illinois and finishing up in LA, California, taking in a total of 8 States. This is my tried and tested 16 day Route 66 Road Trip Itinerary with side trips to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas (so essentially stepping foot in 9 States!). I include: the daily miles covered, travel time (with stops), must see roadside attractions, where to stay and where to eat!
When you don’t get a lot of days off to travel you have to learn to maximise the little amount of time you have! In today’s Mini Travel Guide I share my tried and tested itinerary on how to spend 72 hours in Barcelona, Spain. Including cool things to see and do, where to eat and where I stayed! Visiting Barcelona in January or December is a great choice, the weather is comfortable and the beach doesn’t have 2 million bodies on it!
